Most "super zoom" or "ultra zoom" cameras don't have a wide angle at the wide-angle end of the zoom. In 35-mm film photography, a standard wide-angle is (was?) about 28-mm focal length, and most digital super zoom cameras seem to go down only to about 35 or 38-mm (film camera equivalent) focal length, almost "normal" (NOT really wide angle) and zoom out to very long telephoto lengths that are difficult to use due to camera shake (much as it's tough to be steady with powerful binoculars), which to me is a dumb choice.
